Moray Sports Centre

The Brief

Moray Sports Centre is a sports facility located in Moray, Elgin that is determined to improve and deliver quality sporting facilities and activities to help the community live well and healthy. 

Moray Sports Centre came to Moment with a goal to strengthen their brand across social media platforms and increase their number of members. Whilst they had an existing online presence, Moment strategised to strengthen this by creating more informative and engaging content to reach their local audience.

Moment enhanced their social media strategy by introducing a “Meet the Team” series and “Mental Health Motivation” series. By keeping these posts regular, as well as releasing monthly newsletters, we have kept the audience engaged and we have seen interest in the centre continue to grow. 

Alongside this, Moment have also worked on promotional activities to advertise events that Moray Sports Centre have organised in order to have greater reach throughout the local and surrounding areas. 

As well as increasing their brand presence online, Moment also assisted with their website development. Moray Sports Centre had an existing website that was agreed to not be flexible enough to support the ever evolving nature of the business. With new classes, timetables and opportunities opening up at the centre on an ongoing basis, their website needed the potential to be updated "on the fly" and in real time.

Moving MSC onto a modern Content Management System (CMS), we were able to ensure that their all important branding remains consistent across scalable web solutions, as well as their social media, additional online and offline properties. We also made the necessary changes to the site's layout, content and of course Search Engine Optimisations, as and when we needed to.

Summary

The growth Moray Sports Centre has experienced so far has already seen new opportunities come their way. The centre has recently welcomed Calum’s Kitchen to the centre, a new cafe that will bring even more visitors to the centre. 

Having launched before, then survived the pandemic; all while staying "online" and communicating with their target audience, this overall solution enabled MSC to live up to their brand promise: "Keeping Moray Moving!".
